Robert was first elected as a Councillor to represent Ashdown in 2002 and is married with two children. Rob ran his first Half Marathon this year for SAFE respite care. He enjoys jogging, reading and drama with Shades theatre group. He works in the Insurance Industry.

Baird: Richard Vallery

Richard was born in the Old Town but raised in Baird Ward. He was first elected as Councillor to represent Baird in 2004 and re-elected in 2008. Richard is secretary of the Veterans Association and organised last years Armed Forces Day. He likes reading and music.

Peter is a civil servant and has represented Conquest since 2002. Peter is a passionate supporter of Charlton Athletic and Hastings United. Peter is also a keen quizzer. Peter represents Ashdown and Conquest as the County Councillor.

Braybrooke: Chris Connor

Chris was born and raised in Hastings and can trace his family here to the early 1800’s; he is still working on tracing it further. He enjoys his job as a Software Development Engineer.

Chris is married with a young son and also helps his wife with her retail business.

Allan is a local businessman and has a mortgage business in Wellington Square. Allan is a keen football supporter and actively follows Millwall. He also plays chess when he can.

Central St Leonards: Leonie Nolan

Leonie lives in Central St Leonards and until recently ran a café there with her sister and is now going to operate a dog grooming business from the same premises. Her interests are dogs, cooking, art, history and sport.

Hollington: Nigel Barry

Nigel is a former Police Officer and Schools Liaison Officer. Nigel spent the last 8 years of his service as the local beat bobby in the Hollington and Wishingtree wards. He is married with adult children. He is actively involved in town twinning for the Borough. He formerly played for Sussex Brass and is a Toastmaster.

Maze Hill: Maureen Charlesworth

Maureen has represented Maze Hill since 2002. She served the Borough for 4 years as Mayor, something which she particularly enjoyed doing. Maureen has a son who is also standing for Council. Maureen is president of SSAFA and the Hotels Association. She is also involved with the Royal British Legion and SAFE respite care.

Terry is married and is a County Councillor elected in 2009. Terry is involved with and has held office in a number of organisations in Old Hastings including the RNLI and the Nautical Heritage Centre amongst others. His interests include Music, Opera and reading.
